Everything you need to know about racing real RC cars over the internet.

The basics

What is Scale Racing?+

Scale Racing is a platform where you drive real 1/10th scale RC cars on a physical track, over the internet. You control a car in real time and watch a live FPV feed from an onboard camera as you race.

How is this different from a racing game?+

It isn't a simulation. The car is real, the track is real, the physics are real. Tire slip, weight transfer, grip loss, and collisions all happen on actual hardware and are fed back to your controller.

Where is the track?+

Our track is a professionally designed 1/10th scale circuit. You don't need to be anywhere near it — you race entirely over the internet from wherever you are.

Do I need to sign a contract or commit to anything?+

No. Create a free account, buy credits when you want to race, and use them at your own pace. There are no subscriptions or commitments.

Hardware & setup

What do I need to start racing?+

A computer or phone, an internet connection, and a controller. Any USB or Bluetooth gamepad works. You can also connect a sim-racing wheel for full force feedback.

Which sim-racing wheels are supported?+

Any wheel that presents as a standard HID device works, including wheels from Moza, Thrustmaster, Fanatec, and Logitech. Force feedback is supported on all direct-drive and belt-drive wheels.

Can I race from a phone or tablet?+

Yes. The controls are adapted for touch screens. For a proper racing experience we recommend a gamepad or wheel connected to a computer.

What are the technical requirements?+

A stable broadband connection of at least 10 Mbps is recommended. The live FPV stream requires low latency, so a wired ethernet connection or strong Wi-Fi gives the best experience.

Racing & credits

How do credits work?+

Each race session costs one credit. Credits are purchased in packs and never expire. Your first credit is included when you sign up.

How does the queue work?+

You join the queue from your paddock dashboard. When a car becomes available you are assigned to it and your race begins. Session length depends on the race format.

What race formats are available?+

Free practice sessions let you run laps at your own pace. Competitive events have defined start times, entry fees (credits), and prize pools for top finishers.

What happens if my connection drops mid-race?+

The car stops safely. You may rejoin if time remains in your session. Credits are not charged for sessions that fail due to a technical issue on our side.

Pricing & payments

How much do credits cost?+

See the full credit pack pricing on our pricing page. Larger packs have a lower cost per race.

Do credits expire?+

No. Credits never expire and carry over indefinitely.

Can I get a refund on unused credits?+

Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by law. If you have an issue, contact our support team.

Is payment secure?+

Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe. We never store your card details.
